Maltina’s “Show Kindness, Share Happiness” campaign: A reminder of the true essence of Ramadan

For many Muslim faithfuls, Ramadan is not only a month to fast off food, drink, and other physical needs but a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion. As one of the most important months in the Islamic calendar, Ramadan presents a unique opportunity for people all over the world to spread love, goodwill, happiness and show kindness to loved ones, neighbours and strangers alike.

Committed to the values of the season, the leading malt brand in Nigeria, Maltina, seized the opportunity to treat adherents to the Muslim faith to a delightful Ramadan experience through its “Show Kindness, Share Happiness” Ramadan campaign. Curating a range of experiences and activities that brought people together and celebrated the spirit of Ramadan, the malt brand left behind a trail of heartwarming memories that will be remembered for a long time to come.

One of the highlights, on the list of heartwarming initiatives were the Iftar dinner experiences hosted by influencers in Abuja, Kaduna, and Lagos. More than bringing people together from all walks of life to break bread and share in the joy of the holy month, Muslim faithful who attended these dinners got to meet and rub their minds with celebrities and influencers such as Mory Coco, and Rahama Sadau.

Away from the curated iftar dinner experiences, many mosques across Nigeria also received Iftar dinners, which served to strengthen the communal bonds among many. While many families basked in the joy of community, Maltina succeeded in establishing an almost magical sense of serenity, joy, and oneness. Muslim children also received a chance to demonstrate the wealth of learning they had received in the past year with dynamic Quranic competitions across several mosques. Competitors went home beaming with joy bearing prizes for their intelligence.

Maltina also organized outreaches to mosques and NGOs to promote the true essence of Ramadan — kindness, generosity, and compassion for others. These outreaches provided necessities to less privileged families who may have endured a long month of need without the brand’s timely interventions.

Another memorable aspect of Maltina’s campaign was the Eid celebrations that took place across the nation. These celebrations brought together families, friends, and loved ones, who were able to share in the joy of the festivities, regardless of their background. With vibrant performances and family bonding games, the Eid celebrations were truly a time to unwind after a truly fulfilling month.

Throughout the campaign, Maltina’s message of kindness and happiness was unmistakable, inspiring many to go out of their way to spread love and positivity in their communities. From small acts of kindness, such as sharing food with a neighbour, to grander gestures like donating to charity, the ripple effect of Maltina’s campaign was felt far and wide.

As we bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, we are left with a renewed sense of hope and positivity, thanks to Maltina’s “Show Kindness Share Happiness” campaign. The lessons we have learned – to be kind, generous, and compassionate towards others – are ones that we can carry with us throughout the year, and beyond.
