AC Milan and Barcelona Fans Team Up to Humiliate Chelsea Fans On Star Football SuperFans

The latest episode of Star Football SuperFans, Nigeria’s biggest football game show powered by Star Lager, produced a comprehensive thrashing of the sort, which the show has not seen before. . The latest in a long line of Star’s customer reward platforms like Star Trek, Star Quest, Star The Winner Is and Star Shine On Nigeria, Star Football SuperFans is currently in its seventh week and this episode saw MilaBarca FC, made up of AC Milan and FC Barcelona Vincent Okorie, Michael Nwosu, Tayo Alimi, Sanusi Kazeem and Uche Agwu dished out a 4-0 spanking to the hapless Stamford FC made up of Chelsea fans Frank Okwudili, Adedeji Akinosho, Ayodele Agbede, Chinedu Mbanefo and Ike Ene.

It all started so innocently as host Mozez Praiz kicked off the first half with Frank and Vincent both missing cautious 10-pointers for Stamford FC and MilaBarca respectively. Even though Kazeem then scored a 10-pointer for MilaBarca, Adedeji and Chinedu then missed for Stamford, sandwiched by a Michael miss for MilaBarca. At this point, the game was looking like it was going to be another closely fought, cagey affair with both teams missing chances.

How wrong that early impression was! A supremely confident Tayo stepped up a buried an emphatic 20-pointer for MilaBarca to open the scoring as the audience exploded. Feeling the pressure, Chinedu and Ike both missed 20-pointers for Stamford FC after which Uche cockily answered his 20-pointer after remarking “That’s pretty easy” to end the first half at 1-0 to MilaBarca.

If the first half was a defeat for Stamford FC, the second half was a total mismatch as MilaBarca ran riot answering all three questions including two 20-pointers correctly, while Stamford FC vainly tried to withstand the pressure before caving in to concede a second. With the full time score at 2-0, Stamford FC went into extra time knowing that only two goals in extra time would rescue the game for them.

Their extra time performance unfortunately, did not reflect this. First came the debate on the topic Barcelona remains the best team in the world but Chelsea is their Achilles heel. Do you agree? Stamaford’s Ike went first and he seemed to completely misunderstand the concept of a debate, trying instead to whip the crowd up by performing a series of stage antics including sitting on the floor and proclaiming “Ah! If Barca win Chelsea make I die!” A bemused Vincent took the stage for MilaBarca and calmly passed his point across to an appreciative audience and it was time for Mozez Praiz to announce the result of the audience vote – another goal for MilaBarca and game over for Stamford FC! 3-0!

But still the humiliation was not complete as the ‘Show Your Passion’ segment still remained for Stamford FC to at least regain some pride. MilaBarca had other ideas as Tayo instead piled on the misery with a masterful take on Kiss Daniel’s smash hit “Woju” which got the audience to their feet stomping along in approval. Stamford’s Adedeji could only muster a half-hearted response from the audience and it was no surprise when Mozez Praiz took to the stage to announce the result – yet another goal to MilaBarca and a final score of 4-0!

While Stamford FC would no doubt have been left to rue their apparent lack of preparation compared to the confident MilaBarca, they could at least take solace in the fact that they got to go home with the consolation prize of N100,000. MilaBarca on their part, got to go home with the grand prize of N1,000,000 and the bragging rights of Superfans of all Superfans. What a performance from a group of genuine football Superfans!
