NB Plc holds 2015 Financial Markets Forum

The 2015 edition of the Nigerian Breweries Plc Financial Markets Forum held recently at Lagos Brewery provided an opportunity for financial analysts and journalists to have a first-hand knowledge of the company’s activities in the current financial year.

According to the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde, the forum was held to provide investors and financial analysts with highlights of the company’s performance as well as the facts-behind-the-figures. The forum was also to update the financial market analysts on the progress of the integration following the merger and provide them an opportunity to ask questions and give more insight on Nigerian Breweries to make informed investment recommendations and decisions about the potentials of Nigerian Breweries Plc. He assured the gathering that Nigerian Breweries is a consumer focused organization constantly innovating to meet the demands of consumers. “We are a brand-led, consumer-oriented and customer-focused organization. Therefore, we are committed to outperform the market in satisfying consumer and customer needs”.  

Also speaking at the meeting, Finance Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Mark Rutten explained the cost leadership strategy of the company as a key driver in the performance of the company in the face of the challenges in the market.

The challenges and opportunities of the Nigerian Beer market, the company’s operations and financials for the third quarter of 2015 as well as the outlook for 2016, formed the core of interactions at the forum.

Participants were also given opportunity for a first-hand experience of the operations of the company with a tour of facilities of the Lagos brewery.
